We are having a nice spell of cold weather here in WY and for some reason a few of the trees are resisting the force to release their leaves. I must say, I admire the resiliency of the tress; no matter the fact that Old Man Winter eventually wins, the trees always bounce back in the spring. I wonder if they are thinking “na na” with each bud and new leaf that develops? Probably not, nature accepts all changes easier than I do; leaves falling and dying in the fall and winter are just part of the process. New ones in the spring are not to spite the cold but to continue the cycle.

A head cold can sure create strange thoughts on a Saturday morning. I am going to pursue some other writing as I sit here feeling miserable. Need to check out Big Sky Dreamer Blog to see if there is an update on life to the south.

Monday - the usual

I can reference back to the Go-Go's hit - Just Another Manic Monday!! Time's are lean and getting leaner; clearly observed in my workplace as people are scrambling to find jobs and survive layoffs. Although I refrain from discussing politics, I do observe the impact of others on many and observe thier challenges. My powerless over their challenges only seems to motivate me to do what I can to help them learn how to better help themselves. I am grateful for those that have helped find the peace in the middle of a hectic room full of desparate, sad people; close my eyes for a brief moment and count blessed breaths in...and...out. Another moment passes and back to the masses.
